The weekly series will feature a flagship programme focused on storytelling and cultural conversation alongside a companion audience Q&A show, creating opportunities for deeper listener engagement and community-building.

Launching today, June 8, the podcast marks a new chapter for the oldest magazine in the world still being published, and one of Scotland’s longest-established media brands, as it extends its editorial offering across digital and audio platforms.

Robert Wight, Editor of The Scots Magazine, said: “For generations, The Scots Magazine has told the stories of Scotland. This Is Scotland is a natural extension of that tradition, bringing those conversations to new audiences in a format that feels immediate and accessible.

“Ally and Coinneach bring warmth, knowledge and curiosity to every discussion, and we’re excited to launch this new chapter for the magazine.”

Rachel McConachie, Podcast Producer, said: “From the beginning, the aim was to create a podcast that feels like a great conversation – thoughtful, engaging and rooted in Scotland’s stories. Ally and Coinneach have a natural chemistry, and together they bring humour, insight and a genuine love of Scotland to each episode.”

This Is Scotland is available across all major podcast platforms.
