Findmypast is a remote-first business but we also value seeing each other in person. It helps us do great work. We ask our employees to attend one of our office hubs in London or Dundee once a quarter and meet for company offsites from time to time, so we can spend valuable time together working collaboratively.

About the role:

Brand Marketing & Partnerships Manager

This position sits within our brand marketing team and reports to the Head of Content and Partnerships. The brand team is led by the Director of Brand & Communications and consists of brand, partnerships, content, PR, internal comms, research, social, video and community functions. This is a pivotal role in which you will be helping to drive the brand forward into new and exciting areas both in the UK and globally. The Brand Marketing & Partnerships Manager is entrepreneurial, commercially minded and capable of project managing campaigns and partnerships which build the brand across multiple areas.

Here’s what the role involves:

  • Project and partner management: Support the planning and execution of brand marketing & communication campaigns. You will be the key contact for all brand partner comms material. The role involves managing partner relationships and liaising with both external agencies and internal teams
  • Brand advocacy: You will live and breathe the Findmypast brand in this role, making sure you know who our core customers and target audiences are. Part of the role also involves attending key partner and brand events
  • Strategic thinking: Develop and maintain our brand partnership strategy, delivering high impact plans and customer-facing activations in line with our go-to-market calendar, brand strategy and business objectives. You’ll be well versed in delivering both brand campaigns and partnerships
  • Resourcefulness and creativity: Identify new partnership opportunities. Develop pitches and lead negotiations to secure partners. Proactively bring mutually beneficial ideas to life. You will come armed with ideas for how we can make Findmypast famous
  • Analysis and reporting: Track the success of campaigns and measure the impact of partnerships on team and business goals. Use data to drive decisions and be confident in reporting learnings to stakeholders and senior management
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with the content, marketing, and legal teams to deliver partnerships that form part of multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns and ultimately, brand growth. Create and publish partnership content as required, encompassing brand tone of voice and SEO guidelines as necessary

About you:

  • Experience working on consumer brand partnerships
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or similar field (desirable but not essential)
  • A natural collaborator, adept at developing, navigating and nurturing complex relationships with colleagues and partners alike
  • A creative thinker who can bring innovative partnership ideas to the table
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects at any given time and confident working in a fast-paced, ambitious team that works to tight deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and superb attention to detail

What to expect next:

Our interview process is fast and goes like this:

  • An initial call with a member of our People Team (30 mins)
  • Interview with the Head of Content and Partnerships and Senior PR Manager (45 mins)
  • Presentation to the Findmypast Director of Brand and Communications & DC Thomson Director of Brand (1 hour)
