Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead and manage Aceville’s growing and successful paywall and membership content team. The Membership and Paywall Content Manager will be responsible for originating, delivering and maintaining an ever-evolving content strategy to achieve our business goals with a key focus on membership retention and acquisition.

You will be instrumental in growing our craft membership community and tracking that community’s growth, formulating creative strategies to grow the list as well as using analytics to track and tailor decision making. Managing and growing the membership social media accounts.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing and social media skills. You should perform well under pressure, be comfortable working to multiple deadlines and be detail-oriented. You will be well versed in and understand the importance of content optimization and brand consistency as well as using analytics in the formulation of a content strategy. Ideally with a background in consumer publishing, video production and events with managerial experience.

Reporting to our Knitting Vertical Lead, you’ll communicate clearly and collaborate productively with various departments, including editorial, web development and the marketing growth team. The work is varied and reactive, and as such, we are looking for someone who thrives in an ever-changing environment. 

Key responsibilities  

  • Originating and managing all membership and community content with the core aims of delivering and maintaining audience growth
  • Continuously analysing the success of content strategies with a data-driven, agile mindset
  • Devising strategy, editorial and creative direction to include written, video and audio production
  • Conceptualising and overseeing the delivery of associated promotional publications, on-line events and the in-house video programme
  • Create and implement a content plan for our engagement/fulfilment strategies and develop all areas of our club models using analysis and data
  • Commission freelance designers and manage a commissioning budget
  • Ensure all content is creatively and commercially marketed in liaison with the marketing team for maximum engagement, loyalty and acquisition.
  • To manage and increase social media accounts and website activity across all the membership groups

Key skills: 

  • Strong content writing and editing skills ideally in a creative or publishing environment
  • Track record of developing engaging and concise website copy and content
  • Highly organised, enjoys collaborating with others to achieve strategic goals
  • An innovator able to develop new content ideas correctly targeted and inspirationally delivered across multiple platforms
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
