Job Description

The Role

The Account Executive will support the account services team in strategising, developing and implementing digital marketing plans for local, regional and international B2B clients. Digital activities including Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing, web optimisation and social media marketing.




  • Prepare a wide range of digital content to support with client activities, including social media and web copy
  • Support the team in the strategic planning and execution of digital campaigns on channels including SEO, SEM and social media
  • Monitor campaigns and identify ways of improvement
  • Develop campaign reports
  • Support the team in the management of client accounts
  • Provide accurate and timely support and updates on account activities including agendas and reports
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to prepare and maintain planners
  • Undertake industry and marketing research and highlight industry news where relevant



  • Ensure that products and services are delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensure that all Fifth Ring systems and processes are adhered to at all times
  • Manage workload to ensure deliverables are delivered on time
  • Provide the business development team with relative support as required
  • Other duties as appropriate and as assigned



  • Provide support and updates on activities in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of client accounts
  • Support colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive creativity, connectivity and visibility

Knowledge Skills and Attributes 


  • Formal qualification in communications, marketing, journalism or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in a digital marketing role, ideally in the B2B industry
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrable digital marketing skills and in writing digital content
  • Knowledge of at least one social media monitoring and measurement tool
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator



  • Understanding of B2B marketing & communications
  • Agency and client-facing experience
  • Understanding of the digital landscape
  • Knowledge of content marketing
