LAST YEAR we told you of the kind people at EVH (Employers in Voluntary Housing) in Glasgow who work with housing associations and tenant-led committees to provide social housing for people who need it.
But as well as helping people find homes, again they’ve helped our campaign raising a further
£3215.
EVH Director Foster Evans explained, “On our 25th anniversary, two years ago, we were holding a series of events and thought we could support a charity. We needed one that everyone in Scotland could support.”
CHAS seemed to fit the bill. But after raising more than £3000, they wanted to keep up the good work and this huge cheque came from several more events last year.
“We’ve raised money through raffles, the Great Scottish Walk and sales of a video made for the retiral of our former chairperson Betty Stevenson. They were £25 each and brought in £700.”
EVH have also taken the time to visit Rachel House and have arranged to visit Robin House. |
