Help us to help them

Up, up and . . .

By Paul Hastie

OUR CHAS campaign will be full of hot air next month, but it should help our appeal total soar sky-high.

Foresters White Heather Branch will release hundreds of balloons from Paisley town centre on June 7, and Calderglen Park, East Kilbride, on June 8. Balloons can be sponsored for £1 each.
The prize for the balloon that travels the furthest will leave the winner’s head in the clouds . . . a helicopter trip for two over Stirlingshire.

And keep your eyes peeled over the balloon weekend, because whoever finds the winning balloon will win a bottle of malt whisky.
Foresters is a fraternal benefits society and this event is their big charity fund-raiser for this year. The money will help our campaign and Kersland special needs school in Paisley.
To take part in the balloon challenge, write to White Heather Branch, Foresters Balloon Race, PO Box 9188, Wishaw, ML2 8YQ by June 3.
Include your name, address, contact number, and state the number of balloons you wish to sponsor at £1 each.
Please include a cheque for the appropriate sum payable to Foresters Balloon Race.
