So the losers had to
wear donkey’s ears
By Steven Bowron
GLASGOW ACCOUNTANTS Wylie and Bisset have been taxing their brains to help give our CHAS appeal a nice windfall.
The firm raised almost
£2000 at a charity quiz night attended by around 200 people in the city’s Henry Wood Hall.
To give an idea of the sort of numbers that were being crunched that night — 34 teams of between four and six members answered 100 questions spread across five categories, with a maximum score of 220 points up for grabs.
In the end, a team from solicitors Bishop’s were declared champs with a magnificent tally of 198 points.
Perhaps their will to win was given a boost by the fact that the team with the lowest score in each of the 10 rounds were all given a pair of donkey’s ears to wear — though maybe the losers were just being ass-ked the wrong questions!
Wylie and Bisset marketing co-ordinator, Beverley Quinn, told us, “It was great fun and a great success. As well as £940 from the quiz, our raffle also raised £970.”
Senior partner Michael Sheppard said, “Our clients and staff were delighted to meet the challenge of raising this huge sum.” |
