This will be plane
sale-ing
His plane, along with many other artists’ work, will be sold next week at the McLaren High School Art Exhibition in Callander.
On sale at the exhibition will be works from Peter Howson, local artists and pupils.
Half the proceeds of the weekend will be given to our appeal.
It is being organised the Rotary Club of Callander and West Perthshire and McLaren High School, who are ardent supports of CHAS.
Tom said, “I live in Clydebank, almost directly below the flightpath for jets on their final approach to Glasgow Airport.
“They weigh as much 500 tons, but somehow they can fly.
“That’s what inspired me to design and paint them.
“I am delighted this aeroplane will help raise funds for the new hospice.
“There will be lots of items for sale and I’m sure there will be something to suit everyone’s taste.”
The exhibition at the school, in Mollands Roads, Callander, is open from Friday (7-10 pm) and Saturday and Sunday (1–5 pm). |
