Wings roar their support

SCOTIA WINGS Motorcycle Club drew names out of a hat to decide their chosen charity for the year — and CHAS got lucky, writes Gary Moug.
The 25-strong Wings, who wheel in from throughout Scotland, all own Honda Goldwing or Valkyrie bikes and meet each month in Blackford, Perthshire.

Scotia Wings are ready to roll.

They raised their first £350 for CHAS at their Christmas dinner-dance and have now raised £1800 in just three months.
The Wings are now preparing to deliver 500 Easter eggs, donated by members and businesses, to Rachel House on Saturday.
The visit will also allow the children to see the spectacular motorcycles — and if they’re really lucky, they might even be allowed to sit on them.
The Wings are also planning to display their bikes at rallies and will perform displays at shopping centres all over the country.
There will be a chance for the public to make donations to CHAS at each event. Every member has a specially-designed CHAS sticker on the front of their bike to ensure people know who they are collecting for.
Vice-chairman Joe Duffy said, “We hope to raise as much money as possible. As soon as you mention CHAS, people want to help.”
