Help us to help them

And it all started
with a bunny . . .

AYRSHIRE woman Jean Logan has certainly earned her spurs for the Sunday Post CHAS appeal — yes sirree!
Jean, from Kilwinning, reckoned a Country & Western night would be just the ticket to raise funds.
And now she has 1400 reasons to believe that to be true.
“It was a fabulous night,” said Jean, having (finally) caught her breath. “Funny to think it was a rabbit that started all this!”

No, Jean’s not been on the moonshine. Let her explain. “I’ve done various charity events over the years and had been thinking for a while about doing something to help The Sunday Post CHAS appeal.
“Then, just before Christmas, I won a huge toy bunny in a raffle and I thought, ‘This is a sign’.”
Jean organised a dance at Blacklands Hall in Kilwinning and all 100 tickets were quickly snapped up.
Four months, a lot of hard work and whole lot of reeling in full country dress later, the guys and gals raised £1405.
Everyone had such a great time, Jean’s already being pestered to organise another night and the good news is there could be another C&W extravaganza later in the year.
